USA Today: aura farming is Gen Alpha’s latest obsession

Charles Trepany’s 17 February USA Today file — also on Yahoo — treats aura farming and its louder cousin clip farming as Gen Alpha and younger Gen Z slang that already shows up in the NFL and the back seat on the way to soccer. Pace University’s Melvin Williams says coded language is normal; these two phrases show how much social media drives how they socialize. Aura is cool. Farming it is boosting that cool without looking like you tried. Clip farming is the camera version: a soundbite built to go viral. No US plaza cup is dated here.
